FAQs - Food
Do we stop and eat during the tour?
Shared Group and Private Tours - we have a picnic lunch in the middle of the day.
The Ultimate Journey - we enjoy food pairings with our tastings.
Is the picnic lunch included in the price for our Shared Group or Private Tour?
Sorry, it is not included. We want everyone to be able to enjoy their picnic lunch, and because there are so many factors to consider (vegetarians, food allergies, medical conditions/dietary restrictions) it is easier for everyone to just purchase their own food, based on their individual needs and preferences. It also ensures that you will be eating fresh food that has been handled properly.
Is the food pairing included in The Ultimate Journey?
Yes. The Ultimate Journey is all inclusive (except for guide gratuity which is optional, but always appreciated).
When do we stop for lunch during the Tours?
We usually visit 2-3 wineries first. Then, we pick-up our food and take it to another winery where we will have a picnic lunch together.
Where do we purchase our lunch on the Tours?
We usually stop at a gourmet deli that offers a wide variety of food.
What types of food can we expect to find?
There is a wide variety of foods to select from. However, guests most commonly purchase fresh soups and salads, sandwiches or cheese and bread.
May I bring my own lunch?
Absolutely! We have coolers in our vehicles. Please let us know if you will selecting to bring your own food.
Where do we eat our lunch?
We will picnic together at a winery.
Are beverages included?
We provide complimentary chilled bottle water onboard the vehicle, as it is important to stay hydrated when wine tasting for an extended amount of time. You are responsible for your lunch beverage. Please note, since we eat at a winery we have to obey their alcohol licensing which does not allow consumption of outside alcohol on their property. See below.
May we have wine with our picnic lunch?
Yes. If you purchase a bottle of wine at the picnic host winery, they will open it for you and provide you with glasses. However, you are not allowed to bring outside wine (or other alcohol) to consume at our picnic host winery as their specific alcohol licensing does not permit it.
